EPISODE 092: Breaking Free From Generational Patterns with Brig Feltus

In this episode, Brig shares about the different intersections of her upbringing and the magical ways her life unfolded as she began to release the patterns of her parents and reclaim her own identity. She guides us through growing up on a farm in Compton, her time in predominately white private schools, and her struggle with identity as she watched her parents' contentious divorce unfold. We dive into her deep depression as a young adult, her paradigm-shifting move to Germany, and the divine guidance that led her to become a recording artist and share her voice.

We dive into:

  • Brig’s experience growing up on a farm in Compton and competing in 4-H

  • Exploring her identity as a “child of divorce” and a deeper look at how labels can restrict us

  • Physical punishment & childhood trauma

  • Brig’s big move to Germany and learning she couldn’t run from herself

  • How choosing a partner based on what she “didn’t want” played out in her first marriage

  • Her experience writing music with a grammy nominated producer and making her first album

  • And more
